Among the personal issues that are currently being used by Pro-UMNO bloggers to attack PAS candidate in the Kuala Besut by-election Endut @ Azlan Yusof is the failure of the A Class contractor to pay 54 traffic summonses that he received since 1999.
It is common for people to not pay traffic summonses, it’s not like Endut @ Azlan has committed murder or any serious offences. .
Maybe it is just because Azlan is a PAS candidate and all of his sins even if it is as small as a termite must be publicize so that BN would win the election.
Traffic summonses are small personal matter that does not even effect the people’s judgement towards Azlan. We cannot say that because of the 54 traffic summonses, the people of Kuala Besut must oppose Azlan to be their representative in Kuala Besut.
To become a leader, it does not matter how many traffic summonses you have. A true leader is a person who can lead the people to greatness.
Yes, in a morality point of view, it is something for everyone to ponder about. We hope that Azlan can settle all of his summonses as he is not even poor. A state legislative member is a person who makes state laws, he should have paid his summonses and follow all laws of the country accordingly.
However, this is too low even for UMNO bloggers as it seems that there are no other stories that they can make about the on-going by election. UMNO is desperate to come up of an issue to destroy Azlan’s reputation.
They have nothing against Azlan.
We know for sure that there are UMNO leaders that have many traffic summonses but still refuse to pay it. But we did not highlight the issue because it is a personal matter and not a political issue.
We even asked an Ustaz about the matter, and the Ustaz stated that Islam does not encourage its followers to pay their traffic summonses because there are doubts in the execution of the law. We do not know for sure on how far does the system is just for the people of this country.
UMNO bloggers needs to find another issue for them to play on this one. Maybe they should put more effort in explaining to the people about their own candidate rather than finding fault of the PAS candidate. |
