I think that PAS has to answer to the people of Kuala Besut, why Endut @ Azlan Yusof or Che Long are not permitted to give any spontaneous answer to the media? In fact all of Che Long statements are made by his campaign manager. It is better to ask his manager to contest in the by-election. After this particular story made the front page in Sinar Harian, many cannot accept the answer by PAS that Che Long is new in the world of politics. He was a PAS member since 1997 and before that he was an UMNO youth member in Kelantan. Isn’t the statement contradicts itself? Or is the direct order from the central PAS committee are linked to the video where Che Long said that he will focus on his business and will leave everything to other people to do his job as the Kuala Besut assemblymen if he were to won the election. The particular video went viral after being posted by a Pakatan Rakyat pro blog site. If indeed PAS is correct, then it contradicts with PAS cyber trooper in Facebook or other social media when they took the stand in defending Che Long by saying that the video was edited. Even if it is an impossible act to be done, at least there are efforts by them to save Che Long’s reputation. However, when PAS themselves had made a statement, indirectly this is a proof that the video is genuine. It seems that PAS cyber trooper’s effort in defending Che Long is futile. We would like to ask that this particular order from the PAS central committee to be reversed. It should not happen as a candidate must be able to speak to the media. It is against the principle of democracy and it shows that the PAS central committee is hiding something. If it were up to us, if a candidate has already been chosen, they should be given enough time by the media to show that PAS has already screen their candidate and ensure that the candidate is perfect for each constituency. It is not right to say that the candidate has a lot of weakness here and there; it is as if they are not careful in selecting their candidates. It seems that PAS was negligent during the selection process. In the same time, we all have to remember, this particular thing never happened in BN/UMNO and their candidate can freely give any statement to the media without any restriction. We do not have to remind anyone that it will bring negative feedbacks to our doorsteps. |
