At 3.00pm tomorrow, Anwar Ibrahim is going to deliver a ‘Special Address’ to all Malaysians.
I wonder what this is about. Is it about the Allah word crisis?
I doubt it since there is no way Anwar can solve this issue after Nik Aziz Nik Mat announced today that Christians should not use ‘Allah’ in the Malay Bible and should instead use ‘God’.
If Anwar were to disagree with Nik Aziz that is going to blow up in his face and if he were to agree then DAP will cut off his balls and nail them to the wall.
I can only suspect that this must be about an even bigger problem than the Allah word issue. And this would be the Selangor Menteri Besar (MB) crisis.
I was told that DAP and PAS have agreed that Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim be removed as MB, as the PKR Supreme Council is demanding. But they do not want Azmin Ali to replace Khalid.
So that sort of shortlists it to one of the remaining 12 PKR State Assemblypersons (ADUN).
However, not one of the 12 ADUN are suitable enough to become the MB and for certain His Highness the Sultan would not agree to a joker as the new MB after getting a taste of the more professional Khalid.
Hence that leaves only one option open to the party. One of the 12 ADUN would have to resign so that a by-election could be called and Anwar would then contest this seat. And if he wins the by-election, Anwar would take over as MB.
To sack Khalid and replace him with Azmin is a no-go. Not to sack Khalid would mean the Selangor crisis would never be resolved. The only way, therefore, is for Anwar to become the MB so that neither Khalid nor Azmin gets the job.
I was told that negotiations are ongoing even as you read this. Is this what Anwar is going to announce in his “Perutusan Khas Untuk Rakyat Malaysia” at 3.00pm tomorrow?
Interesting is it not?
