MUKAH: The Barisan Nasional (BN) will face off with the PKR in the tussle for the Balingian state seat which will witness a by-election on Mar 29.
At the close of nomination for the seat this morning, BN had pitted its candidate Yussibnosh Balo and while the opposition PKR has nominated Abdul Jalil Bujang.
Returning officer Shafrie Saili in announcing this said the candidates have 12 days to campaign before the polling day on March 29.
Balingian by-election was called following the resignation of its assemblyman Tan Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud on Feb 28, before he was sworn in as the seventh Head of State on March 1.
