PETALING JAYA: Pakatan Rakyat MPs will be allowed to enter Sarawak to pay their last respects to former Sibu MP Wong Ho Leng who died of brain cancer on June 21.

Seputeh MP Teresa Kok said today the Sarawak state government has lifted the ban on Pakatan MPs who wish to travel to Sarawak to attend Wong’s funeral.
Kok had earlier faxed a letter to the office of Chief Minister Adenan Satem appealing for the ban on Pakatan MPs to be lifted.

She said that Adenan’s senior private secretary, Mustapa Han, had replied that there would be no entry ban on her party members who wish to travel to the state to attend the funeral.
However, Kok said that it was not clear whether the lifting of the ban was only temporary and for a specific purpose.
Nevertheless, she urged Adenan to make permanent the cancellation of the ban as “we do not deserve to be banned at all”.
