A lot of people are thinking that DAP’s suggestion to bring UN Peace Keepers into our country to curb the entire shooting and other criminal related incidents in our country are preposterous. To those who are not aware of the current situation that is plaguing the Malaysian society, the suggestion seems to be farfetched as our country are not in the state of war that requires others international entities to meddle in our country’s affairs. Their reason is simple, even the Lahad Datu incident we did not ask for help, why do we need to ask for help for our own domestic problems. That is their opinion on the matter, typical UMNO & BN mentality overrating the PDRM and our lame security forces. For Pakatan Rakyat itself, the suggestion is not a joke but has its own merit and must be given proper thought by the current BN led government. Other than the strength of the police are not sufficient to handle the 260,000 former Emergency Ordinance detainess that was freed because of the abolishment of the Emergency Ordinance, it looks like our police are facing have no clues in finding the solution to our ever increasing criminal activities, especially, drive by assassination. Talking about all of these drive by assassination that has become the nightmare of the citizen, only Perlis, Pahang and Sabah has yet to come up with their own drive by shooting incident, it is because, all other states in Malaysia has seen these horrible incident. Kelantan and Pulau Pinang both have suffered greatly by these kind of assassination. Pakatan Rakyat cannot be blamed as the state government has no power in controlling the safety of the nation that is up to the federal government that is led by the Barisan Nasional. We can only give suggestion and it is up to the federal government to accept it or not, this includes bringing in the UN’s peace keepers to replace our ever decaying police force. Their past records speaks for themselves, the UN Peace Keepers has helped hundreds of countries to restore peace and harmony domestically, after the laws and regulation of a country is no longer being respected by the people of that particular country. Now, stopping at a traffic light is a matter of life and death. What the government needs to do now is to apply to the UN and we do not see the problem why the application cannot be passed by the UN Security Council. |
