is quite a shocker that the Appeal Court released Chief Inspector Azilah Hadri and Corporal Sirul Omar from the charge of killing the Mongolian model, Altantuya Shariibu in the year 2006. Looking at this particular result, we are not sure that the reason for this release is because of technicality or because both of the accused are not involved at all for the murder. If they were not involved then the question now is who killed Altantuya? Did Altantuya commit suicide? We think not. If she killed herself, how on earth that she blow herself up with C4 explosive. The police should have investigated this thoroughly and find the real killer of Altantuya to be brought to the court. If the release is because of technicality, we are really interested with the technical reason. Whatever reason that they give, there are people who are being murdered and there are people who had become a murderer. That is the most important part of the case. Does anyone care with the technical reason, if a family member was killed by a person? No one cares!!!! We want to know who is the murderer and the question that he cannot be punished because of a technicality, that is another story. Talking about technicality, we hope that no one would connect the sodomy charges of Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim who was acquitted because of technicality reason in January 2012. The case is different, this is because the DNA evidence in Saiful’s anal belongs to Anwar Ibrahim. In the case, there are no life taken and sodomy is only an offence in the eyes of Malaysia Muslims. Everywhere in the world, sodomy is considered as a human right that must be respected by everyone. The most important thing is that, the Pakatan Rakyat need to sensationalized this issue, because we see that it is a chance for us to give a proper explanation to the rakyat. Even though this particular murders has its roots with Najib, it is hard to be proven, as SUARAM themselves pointed out that Altantuya was not involved in the Scorpene case. In another instance, the Pakatan Rakyat can gain much more political milage, while we can blame the government for their incompetency. |
