Selangor Menteri Besar Khalid Ibrahim has despatched a legal letter to PKR in a bid to stop the leadership council meeting currently being held at the party’s headquarters.
In the letter, Khalid states that the meeting by right is illegal as he has yet to attend the disciplinary board hearing as he requested for on August 15.
The letter also requests that Datuk Dr Tan Kee Kwong, chairman of PKR’s disciplinary board, clarify the allegations made against Khalid including five separate issues the board levelled against him in the recent show cause letter.
The letter from Khalid’s lawyer Edmond Bon, was handed over to Tan who together with other members of the council are meeting to discuss Khalid’s fate as MB.
