Step down, good sir

OPEN LETTER TO KHALID IBRAHIM
khalid step down300
From: Kee Lip Seng; Yee Siew Meng; Lim Swee Bin

To Selangor Menteri Besar Khalid Ibrahim,
We have always held you in high regard and with deep respect. We remember how you brought relief and tears of joy to many Selangorians with the good policies you implemented with the support of your fellow Pakatan Rakyat YBs and Excos.

However, your refusal to step down as Menteri Besar and your resulting actions have been shocking and unacceptable to us. We urge you to be reminded of and to uphold the good faith of the vote the people of Selangor gave to the Pakatan Rakyat government in the state.
With the latest announcement by Wan Azizah stating she now commands the majority support and confidence of the Selangor State Assembly, legally and constitutionally according to Westminster conventions, you ceased to have the moral authority to carry on as Menteri Besar. Regardless of procedural niceties, the mandate to govern Selangor was passed from you to her as of noon August 14, 2014.
We implore you to step down as Menteri Besar in accordance with the principles of democracy.
Please do the right thing and be on the right side of history, and let us remember you for your good deeds.
Thank you and may God bless you.
Sincerely,
Concerned citizens
