Lately, if we look at many of the PR’s blogs, they are not as active as they used to after the 13th GE as Pakatan Rakyat failed take the helm of Malaysia. If blogs such as the Suara Pakatan Rakyat, MiloSuam, AmenoWorld, Anak Sungai Derhaka and many more was on the top 10 list of Malaysian political blog, today there are not as good as they used to be. We heard that there are problems in regard of the funding of these blogs, and they blamed Ampang Parliament Member, YB Zuraidah Kamarudin. We are not sure, how far Zuraidah’s involvement in these issues. We understand that there are a lot of people who are funding political bloggers inside the Pakatan Rakyat. However, that is not important; the most important thing today is the mundane character of Pakatan Rakyat bloggers, especially answering accusation made by Pro-Government supporters. This is different with Pro-UMNO supporters as they are still alive and kicking, even after the 13th General Election. Among them (especially English language bloggers), they are using all the available opportunities before the real funds is depleted to attack Najib and his leadership skills, this includes asking the 6th Prime Minister of Malaysia to resign. Among those who are a habitual critic of Najib Razak is the popular English blogger named Syed Akhbar Ali in his blog OutSyedTheBox. This particular blogger is at war with Najib. Maybe he knew that his position in the MACC as an advisor will not be continued anymore. Then he chose to attack Najib alone. At least once a day, he will write an article to attack Najib, up to the extent that we are forgetting that Syed Akhbar was once an UMNO Cybertrooper who often attack Pakatan Rakyat, especially Datuk Seri Anwar and Datuk Nik Aziz. Then, we can see the opportunity to ask Pakatan Rakyat to ask Syed Akhbar to join any of the component party and be given an important post. The most suitable party is PKR and DAP, as it is similar to Syed Akhbar’s liberal thought. Syed Akhbar cannot enter PAS as we know that he is a heavy drinker himself. It is his right to do whatever he wants; this is a democratic country isn’t it? He has no position in UMNO, and it is not a surprise, because majority UMNO bloggers are not even UMNO members. They are only supporters, and most of them are Tun Mahathir fanatics. We do not see any problems for Syed Akhbar to join the Pakatan Rakyat, even though he is a strong Mahathir supporter. The most important thing for us now is to examine the nature of Syed Akhbar’s writing that is pro-Pakatan Rakyat. We need him now; we need him to join us officially. It is easier for both sides to know which enemy is which, |
